TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Sauti Yetu believes in strengthening the capacity of mainstream institutions so that they can better serve African Immigrant and refugee women and families in a culturally responsive manner.
To this end we provide cross-cultural and cultural competency trainings & workshops to mainstream human service agencies, governmental entities such as the police, courts, borough-based child protective services, domestic violence, sexual assault agencies, shelters, health and legal services.
In addition, each year, Sauti Yetu staff present at conferences on issues critical to safety and well-being of African immigrant women and families in the United States.
If you are an organization or individual working to prevent violence against women and girls, or child abuse and neglect throughout the various African immigrant communities, Sauti Yetu can be a helpful resource to you. If you would like to receive cultural competency training that can equip you with culturally-relevant skills, please contact us.
By request we provide limited issue-specific technical assistance to organizations and institutions.
